(San Francisco Adventure Race),

aka: Gold Rush Adventure Challenge

If you’ve been following along, you may have seen me talking about launching a San Francisco adventure race through Outdoor Goyo.

Well… things evolved in the best way possible.

I’m now serving as President of Gold Rush Adventure Racing, the longest-running adventure race organization in the U.S., and we’re bringing the race back under that banner.

Originally, this was shaping up to be a full 24-hour race. But as we worked through permits across the Marin Headlands, Mount Tam, and the Bay, it became clear that a 12-hour format is the right way to bring this event to life, for now.

And honestly… it’s going to be epic!!

We’re calling it the Gold Rush Adventure Challenge: Dawn to Dusk

A full day of navigating by map and compass through coastal ridges, historic trails, and open water, all with the Golden Gate Bridge as your backdrop.

This race is designed to be approachable if you’re new to adventure racing, yet challenging and strategic if you’ve been in the game for years

I’m incredibly stoked about what this means, not just for this race, but for the future of adventure racing in California. This feels like the start of something bigger, so I hope you join us along for the ride!

If you’ve ever been curious about the sport, or you’ve been waiting for more races on the West Coast… this is your moment, at a minimum- join the Gold Rush mailing list :)
