PC12 Adventure Race Overview

The PC12 Adventure Race brings together elite adventure athletes from around the globe in a series of qualifying races. These international events, held across diverse locations, challenge mixed teams of four individuals for up to ten days of continuous competition in activities such as trekking, mountain biking, kayaking, orientation, and more. The culmination of these races is the prestigious World Adventure Championship (ARWC).

Event Format and Distances:

The PC12 Expedition (ARWS) covers approximately 500 km with no mandatory stops, providing an intense non-stop challenge for participating teams. Each team comprises four members, with specific criteria, including at least one female member and two individuals of the same nationality. This structure contributes to the ARWS ranking system, influencing category awards points.

Teams Requirements:

Team of 4 members that includes at least 1 female member and 2 members with the same nationality (category awards points for the ARWS ranking system).

Date and Venue:

Scheduled from May 30th to June 10th, 2024, the race will unfold in the scenic URABÁ region, situated in the province of ANTIOQUIA. Medellin is designated as the host city for registration, while Necoclí will serve as the venue for the briefing and opening ceremony.

Disciplines:

The ARWS features a diverse set of disciplines, including orientation, trekking, mountain biking (MTB), kayaking, and snorkeling, offering participants a comprehensive test of their adventure racing skills.
